FAQ's
~What is your ensemble's typical configuration and how long have you played together?
While the repertoire is certainly the greatest for string quartets, most clients prefer smaller string arrangements, especially the string trio and violin-cello duo. We certainly enjoy and prefer to work together as a full quartet but have also most recently performed as a violin-viola duo, solo violinist and solo cellist. We officially formed as a quartet after meeting and working with one another while attending the New England Conservatory. As a full quartet, we have performed together for about two years, but in other arrangements, such as viola-cello duo, we have performed together for over eight years.
~Where have you guys performed?
We have played at hotels (such as the Holiday Inn in Beacon Hill) both in Boston and other New England areas. We have also played at a variety of country clubs and estates (such as the Lyman Estate in Waltham), churches and chapels (such as the MIT chapel), libraries and community spaces (such as the Copley library), museums (such as the Museum of Science in Boston) and a host of other venues throughout Massachusetts. Most recently, we performed at the Arts & Business Council of Greater Boston's "Martinis & Masterpieces" fundraiser held at the Mohr & McPherson and Thayer Street Galleries in Boston's South End.
~Does your group need any equipment to be supplied by me or the venue?
The only equipment we would need are the appropriate number of chairs for the number of musicians you would like to hire. If the ceremony or event is to be held outside, we would require either a tent of some sort of shading provided by either you or the venue.
