Active concert series blending music, spoken word, arts, and history at such locations as the
Museum of African American History and Museum of Fine Arts with such themes as mass incarceration,
freedom, Black feminism, Black masculinity, and Black visual art
“Edu-tainment” recital performances featuring the music of Black composers
in such venues as Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and Copley Library
Interactive, original educational workshops held at such venues as the Boston Children’s Museum,
Roxbury YMCA and Roxbury’s Hibernian Hall
Multi-day college residencies held at such institutions as Gettysburg College (PA),
Keene State College (NH), Brandeis University (MA), and Clark University (MA)
Cross-disciplinary collaborations with visual artists, dancers, poets, quilters, fashion designers,
filmmakers and arts organizations including Handel and Haydn Society, Boston Lyric Opera,
Celebrity Series of Boston, and Boston Symphony Orchestra

Mobilize and recruit professional classical musicians to perform in events
Coordinate performances in public spaces to engage public, raise awareness, and show solidarity in times of social/civil unrest
Examples of events organized include:
Mixed ensemble performances in solidarity at Black Lives Matter rallies and churches
String performance in the Paramount Theater in response to the 2013 Charleston Church massacre
Tri-city (Boston, Cleveland and Chicago) performance for racial justice as part of Make Music Boston
Various subway station mixed ensemble performances in response to numerous cases of race crimes,
police brutality, the Orlando nightclub massacre, and other social/racial injustices

Developed annual performance schedule by booking concerts and events
Oversaw marketing efforts including all publicity, social media communications
and website design/maintenance
Examples of events organized include: Commissioning/world premiere projects involving over 6 composers and an interactive electronic installation
Concert performances as part of the Equilibrium concert series, Signature Series (Cleveland, OH)
and Parish Center for the Arts concert series (Westford, MA)
